Enjoying Silence

[Telekinessie]

Akira sat in the quiet Courtyard, back to a tree. Classes were bound to start anytime soon. He didn't care though. He was planning on skipping today anyway. It was too loud in class. And everyone there was an idiot anyway. Luci was with him, but he was kind of asleep. The pup slept in his lap, curled up and snoring. Akira patted his head and looked up into the sky. It was almost enjoyable, the sky blue and the sakura petals flying everywhere.

[Innocent Smile]

Kyandi walked into the courtyard and smiled. It was quiet for the first time in awhile. She looked around and spotted a dog on someone's lap. "Aww." she said quietly and walked over. "Nice dog." she sat down.

[Telekinessie]

"Mm." Akira said, softly. Great. On the day that he was going to skip class, someone came to him. Amazing. He stroked Luci's head. He tried to not hear the girls' thoughts.

[Innocent Smile]

Kyandi reached over and picked up the dog, "Hello there? And what's your name?"

[Telekinessie]

"I can hear you just fine. My name's Akira. And that is my dog." Akira said, irritatedly. He scowled rather obviously and pointed to Luci, his puppy.

[Innocent Smile]

Kyandi frowned, "I was asking this cute puppy not the asshole  of an owner."

[Telekinessie]

Can't be any more of an asshole than you. Akira thought angrily. He sat back against the tree he was under, crossing his arms. "It would be appreciated if you'd return my pet to me, thank you very much." Luci looked at his owner, then at the girl holding him. He didn't have to be telepathic to tell there was some kind of conflict going on.

[Innocent Smile]

"I heard you." Kyandi growled and put the dog back on his lap.

[Telekinessie]

"Great, then we both know how much we don't like each other." Akira said huffily. Luci laid down in his lap and Akira petted him. His pet licked his hand and he smiled.

[Innocent Smile]

 'Asshole,' Kyandi thought loudly.

[Telekinessie]

"Back at you." Akira replied coldly, having read her thoughts. "If you'd like to say something to me, I'd prefer you say it out loud. I doubt you'll say anything I haven't heard before." He said. Of course, it's hard to actually hear with all of those overlapping thoughts.

[Innocent Smile]

Kyandi crossed her arms. "Your a little bitch."

[Telekinessie]

"Didn't hurt when my grandmother said it, doesn't hurt now." Akira said calmly. He continued petting Luci who rested peacefully in his lap. He tried to at least enjoy the day. It was nice and warm, and the sky was clear.

[Innocent Smile]

Kyandi paused, "Your family didn't really like you did they?"

[Telekinessie]

Akira shook his head. "The only one that legitimately cared about me would be my mother. And even she had a hard time accepting my Psych. The rest of my family considered me a freak. Even my telekinetic father." He sighed.

[Innocent Smile]

"I never really liked anyone, not even my siblings..." Kyandi looked down. "The thoughts they say you know? Shows you the true person not the fake one? Ya know, I always thought that's why people don't like us."

[Telekinessie]

Akira nodded. "We see through the lies. Find the real person. Know what they're truly like. That's why telepaths are black sheep." He said, shaking his head. Luci hopped out of his lap and started walking and running around the area, flapping his wings.

[Innocent Smile]

Kyandi nodded. "The real person."

[Telekinessie]

Akira rubbed the back of his neck. "I think we, uh, got off on the wrong foot. I'm Akira Yamano. Nice to meet you." He held out a hand to shake.

[Innocent Smile]

Kyandi looked hesitant, she shook it, "Kyandi Aki, nice to meet cha."

[Telekinessie]

Akira nodded. Luci ran over to them, panting. He had enjoyed his little exercise. "This is Luci. Luci, say hi to Aki-san." The little pup went over to Kyandi and licked her fingers.

[Innocent Smile]

Kyandi smiled, "Hello there."

[Telekinessie]

Luci barked in response and ran around her. Akira smiled at this and relaxed a little.

Kyandi frowned, "I thought pets weren't allowed."

[Telekinessie]

"I can bring Luci on campus thanks to my mom. I guess she just didn't want me to be alone or something like that." Akira explained.
